Yoga Nidra
A guided meditation technique that induces a state of deep relaxation between asleep and wakefulness. If you attend a Yoga Nidra event you will be invited to lie down on your back, but you can change position for comfort. You will then be invited to close your eyes and be guided through meditation, first connecting with your breath and body and then relaxing down through each body part to help induce this place of deep rest. The benefits of Yoga Nidra are that it helps reduce stress and anxiety, it can improve cardiovascular health, improves your quality of sleep, strengthens your connection to self and your nervous system - to name a few.
